Group's need was to strengthen cybersecurity
Antares Vision Group was founded in 2007, as a spin-off from the University of Brescia and a small innovative start-up, near Brescia, with a customer portfolio of 4 million euros and only 18 employees.
Today Antares Vision Group is a publicly listed company, with more than 30 corporate offices and more than 40 international partners , with a path of internationalization, technological enhancement and expansion into new markets. Antares Vision Group, consolidates a long experience in the pharmaceutical market, and is now also present in Beverage, Food, Cosmetics, Chemicals and Packaging, with an ecosystem of traceability solutions, quality control inspections, production process efficiency and integrated product and supply chain data management.
Antares Vision Group pioneered quality controls on packaging lines and implemented the first regulatory-compliant traceability systems for anti-counterfeiting of medicines, meeting stringent quality and validation requirements of the world‘s major pharmaceutical industries.
With more than 25,000 visual inspection controls installed worldwide, ensuring quality and safety in the packaging stages, Antares Vision Group today has a presence in more than100 countries, with sales and technical support offices globally, 24 / 7 / 365 days a year.

For this project, the Group’s need was to strengthen IT security, consistent with a brand protection strategy already implemented internally with the goal of ensuring the security of corporate data and those of its customers. Deda Cloud, already in charge of infrastructure management services, fitted into an existing framework, meeting the requirements and developing an ad hoc solutionr Antares Vision Group, seamlessly integrated with the customer’s endpoint protection solution.
Proposal and solution

Extended across the perimeter the capabilities of the detection platform and the Managed Detection & Response service in Extended version.

 

The project began with a three-month Proof of Value in which the operational security strategy designed for Antares Vision Group was put into production. At this stage, the value of the strategy and technology solution proposed by Deda Cloud emerged through a number of third-party, customer-led audits (attack simulation). The responsiveness of Deda Cloud convinced Antares Vision Group to proceed with the project, extending the capabilities of our proposed detection platform and the Managed Detection & Response service in Extended version to the entire perimeter . The MDR service in Extended version consists of:

  • A Next Generation Security Information and Event Management (NextGenSIEM) technology platform that uses a Machine learning engine to enrich and correlate data from a variety of sources in real-time.
  • The incident Response team’s constant H24 monitoring of events from the extended perimeter covered by the platform

The MDR service in Extended mode is delivered by Deda Cloud’s Security Operation Center (SOC ) Blue Team, a department of dedicated Cybersecurity analysts who monitor, analyze and intervene in case of suspicious actions to preserve the integrity and security of corporate systems.

Deda Cloud’s Blue team has worked and still works closely with Antares Vision Group, allowing the client to delegate an ongoing and very onerous activity where vertical, focused, and constantly updated skills are needed. Two were the winning elements:

  1. Trust established over the years through the ongoing partnership between Antares Vision and Deda Cloud.
  2. Deda Cloud’s elasticity can integrate seamlessly with existing solutions.

The partnership with Deda has led us to achieve important results in our IT security, now an indispensable asset to ensure the protection of our data and our business.
We have found flexibility and concreteness in combining their solutions with our existing infrastructure.
